Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
2 cups elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
2 cups cubed sharp cheese
1/4 cup onions (optional)
1 fresh tomato
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water till tender; drain. In saucepan melt butter,
blend in flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper Add milk; cook and stir till thickened
and bubbly. Add cheese and onion, if desired and cook and stir till cheese melts. Mix
cheese sauce with macaroni. Turn into casserole dish. Sprinkle sliced tomato slices salt; arrange on top. Bake at 350 degrees till heated through, 35 to 40 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
