How to Make Homemade Lady Fingers
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
3/4 cup flour sifted
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Separate the eggs. Beat whites in a bowl with 2 tbsp of the sugar till soft peaks form.
In another bowl, beat egg yolks with remaining sugar. Fold yolks into whites carefully, then gradually fold in the sifted flours.
Put mixture into a pastry bag fitted with wide tube and pipe fingers 3-4 inches long onto greased and floured baking sheets, spacing them well apart. Dust lightly with sifted confectioners’ sugar and bake for 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
