Cranberry-Orange Nut Bread Recipe
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking sodea
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Grated peel of 1 orange
Juice of 1 orange plus water to measure 3/4 cup
1 egg , beaten
1 cup fresh cranberries, cut into halves
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches. Blend dry ingredients. Mix in butter, peel, juice and egg. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour. Cool before slicing. Good with cream cheese
