2 oranges for zest/juice
1 (12-oz) bag fresh cranberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 quart four berry smoothie mix (1 1/4 lb fresh mixed berries)
For serving: pie, ice cream, whipped topping (optional)
- Zest/grate orange peel (no white; 1 tablespoon); squeeze oranges for juice (1 cup), then place both in medium saucepan on medium heat.
- Stir in cranberries, jam, and cinnamon; cook 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until cranberries start to burst.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in mixed berries; cook 2–3 more minutes or until softened. Remove pan from heat; let stand 10 minutes to cool. Serve over pie or ice cream; top with whipped topping. Serve.
