Cheesy Bacon and Potato Gratin Recipe
1-2/3 lbs of potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
2/3 cup sour cream
2/3 cup half and half
2 cloves minced garlic
6 oz bacon cooked
3-1/2 oz sharp cheddar cheese grated
Cook the potatoes: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cook the sliced potatoes a pot of
boiling water for 3-4 minutes until tender, drain thoroughly. Mix the sour cream with the half and half
Layer the potatoes over the potatoes in a greased shallow baking dish. Sprinkle a little of the garlic, and cooked bacon, then season lightly.. Arrange another layer of potatoes on top, followed by more bacon, garlic and seasoning. Continue layering this way. your last layer will be just potatoes.
Pour the milk mixture over all and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
Cook for 30 minutes or until bubbling. Garnish as desired.
