How to make Cheese Diamonds
Use Sweet Dough Recipe:
1 package (8 ounces ) cream cheese softened.
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice from lemon
1/2 cup favorite jam
Prepare sweet dough. For filling, beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour egg yolk, lemon peel and juice. Roll dough on lightly floured board into 15–inch square; cut into twenty-five-3 inch squares. Place on greased baking sheet. Place 1 tablespoon cheese mixture in center of each square. Bring two diagonally opposite corners to center of each square. Overlap corners slightly; pinch together. Cover let rise until double, about 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 12 minutes. Heat jam until melted. Brush lightly over hot rolls; sprinkle with nuts. Make 25 rolls:
