Best Apple Pie Recipe
Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie (Found in Desserts Recipes)
8 granny smith apples, peeled and cored.
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup heavy cream
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt mix with apples. Line Pie plate with pastry. Fill with apple mixture; dot with butter pour heavy cream evenly over all ingredients.
Adjust top crust, cutting slits for escape of steam; seal and flute. Sprinkle with additional sugar.
Bake at 400 degrees till done, about 50 minutes. (If necessary, cover edge with foil to prevent over browning.)
