Baked Cinnamon-Sugar Breakfast Puffs Recipe


1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup butter
1 egg

1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating muffins
1/2 cup sugar; for coating muffins
6 tablespoons butter melted; for greasing muffin cups

Lightly grease and flour 12 muffin cups; set aside
Preheat oven 350 degrees

Stir together flour, salt baking powder and nutmeg; set aside
Cream together 1/2 cup sugar, butter and egg mix until light and fluffy in mixing bowl.
Add flour and milk to creamed mixture alternately mixing well after each addition.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. or till golden brown.
Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Remove muffins from oven; immediately dip in melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mixture till well coated. Serve warm
Make 12 muffins.
